Chemnitz Marathon 2012
KIESELSTEIN-team successful on 7th position
On 30 June 2012 the 5th Chemnitz Marathon took place. Even for the third time, KIESELSTEIN participated with a team of 10 employees, friends of the company and members of the ice hockey-team KIESELSTEIN Cracks.
Just like last year the runners had to master the distance of 42.195 km at temperatures of up to 30°C. The route went from the New Market in the city centre out to the border of the Chemnitz Stadtpark and back. This lap had to be run once by each team member. The KIESELSTEIN team finished the distance after 3h 59min.
Chemnitz Marathon is the greatest charity run in Saxony and is a non-profit project of the Lionsclub Wasserschloss Klaffenbach. For each kilometre run one Euro is donated to social charity projects.
